At MCDS we offer tuition for various dance styles to those aged 18 months - Adults. Our classes include Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Acro for performance. We also have classes for Conditioning and Strengthening to maximise education and development for our students. We encourage competition and performance among our dancers, so our soloists and duets benefit from the experience and skills of our instructors and choreographers. We believe that it is this feature that sets us apart from other studios.
We have a fun and energising Preschool Program for children aged 18 months - 5 years that is delivered throughout the week and on Saturday so that you can find a time suitable for your blossoming star! We call our classes for 5 and under TUMBLE TOTS and dance for this age group MUNCHKINS. In our Munchkins and Tumble Tots classes we incorporate play to enhance the experience of learning, but our programs are targeted to increase fine and gross motor skills.
Adult classes:
10-week Open Adult short courses - 5 styles, a new style with a fresh routine every 2 weeks. This is a great class for those adults not yet ready to give up the dance floor. You are required to have intermediate dance skills as these are fast paced classes with high energy and high output!
Dance Fitness - A great class for anybody wanting to get movement back into their life and you do not need dance experience. This is a fun class to have a giggle and get the heart rate up.
Modelling & Deportment for those aged 13 and above. We created this class to encourage self awareness, increase self esteem and poise. This class centers around learning to walk the catwalk. It is the perfect way to learn how to walk in heels confidently, perfect for all those special occasions like Graduation, getting Married, Balls/Dances and wearing heels for hours!
